Beyond Pharmacologic GDMT
Device-based therapies such as cardiac contractility modulation, baroreflex activation therapy, and remote hemodynamic monitoring are expanding the treatment landscape in heart failure.
Many patients remain symptomatic despite optimized four-pillar therapy, and device-based options address physiology that medications do not.
Patient selection matters: ejection fraction range, QRS duration, symptom burden, and prior response to therapy all shape which option is appropriate.
Referral pathways and program infrastructure are often the limiting factor, not the technology itself.
